Speaker Bio
Rebecca brings over 25 years of experience across the private sector and nonprofits, working at the intersection of hospitality, sustainability, and social impact. Her career has focused on helping organizations translate values into practical, business-aligned strategies that create measurable social and conservation outcomes.

As Founder and CEO of the Center for Responsible Hospitality (CRH), Rebecca leads the organization’s strategy, research, and programming, with a particular focus on independent hotels and place-based hospitality. CRH is the first nonprofit dedicated to making the industry make responsible decisions more visible, measurable, and actionable through applied research, data tools, and practitioner-led learning.

Previously, at the Financial Alliance for Women, Rebecca led transformative initiatives including the launch of the Female Economy Analytics platform, advancing the use of gender data to inform customer-centric product design and inclusive finance. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at Women’s World Banking, where she managed the Gender Performance Initiative and helped establish the organization’s first equity fund for gender-lens investing.

Rebecca began her career in hotel real estate and development with HVS International and Starwood Hotels, grounding her work in the financial and operational realities of hospitality. She has since remained deeply engaged in investing in and supporting independent, community-focused hotels.

She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Aliados, supporting indigenous farmers in the Amazon in their transition to regenerative practices. Rebecca holds a Master’s degree in International Development and Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Bachelor’s degree with distinction in Hospitality Administration from Cornell University.
